On Saturday, after having spent all day Friday an emotional basket case, I got a call from my RE; apparently the lab that was running the HCG tests realized later in the day that the machine wasn't working correctly and my #'s came back very low...they re-ran the HCG test and we are actually at 9000+, which is EXACTLY where we need to be! This is AWESOME news!! We still have the misshapen sac and small baby size to worry about but at least we know that the baby is making the correct hormones and we did see the heart beat. In my research it seems that a misshapen yolk sac and NO heartbeat is an inevitable miscarriage; however, a misshapen yolk sac AND a heartbeat has a very good chance of continuing. We are still in the waiting phase, which is killing me...Friday can't come soon enough!!
